Let's be honest, Vista as a peice of marketing was a failure, even if for the most part, Vista as an OS was not. Potential customers need only do the slightest peice of digging to find out many people hate it.
Personally, I don't think it's all that bad, but Microsoft are obviously worried. They therefore need to hurry the release of Windows 7 to end Vista once and for all.
But to do that, they first need to get rid of XP, so as not to have 3 main OS's hanging around, and in Europe they plan to do so on June 30 this year. Do you think they should? Tell me your opinion.
Note that Microsoft would only stop selling XP, they wouldn't altogether stop support and customer help.
Do you think Microsoft should kill XP?symantic
Absolutely not. I have XP and enjoy it very much. It is a Microsoft product that came out which a lot of people prefer over Vista, including me. I bought it and expect it to be supported for quite some time. XP does exactly what I need it to do and I see no need to upgrade. If Microsoft kills XP, then they better be giving out Vista copies for free.
Do you think Microsoft should kill XP?viruses
No, XP is still good.
xp is the best one I have used.
I like XP so I answer no they shouldn't kill it.
No, it's better, faster, and more user friendly than Vista.
They should get rid of Vista and come put with the next version of XP - there's nothing wrong with XP.
If Microsoft killed XP then you'd have a lot of corporate accounts moving to Linux and it would undermine Microsoft's ability to compete. They aren't in as much of a monopoly position as before.
