Microsoft Word Question?

I know you can do it, but I'm not sure how. How do you make it so that word will automatically replace a word with another one? Like if you type ''rayn'' it will automatically change it to ''rain'' or if you want to type a name with an accent mark over it, but don't want to have to do the ctrl + ' + the letter thing each time and would find it easier if Word would just replace it each time you type the word w/o the mark. Stuff like that is what I need to know how to do. Thanks anyone! I have Microsoft Word for XP if that makes any difference!

In Tools Menu - Auto correct.

Under Auto Correct tab - click the check box - Replace text as you type.

Then under replace tag - type the word u want to replace for example - ''Rayn''.

Under with tag - type the word u want to replace with example - ''Rain''.

CTRL + H at the end and select ''replace all''
go to edit....then Find....

then type in the word you want to find and replace...
Go to Insert Tab, then to Auto Text, then click on the ''autocorrect'' tab. Make sure all of the items are checked of... As far as accents, you have to either change the language or manually put one in.

I dont know which version of MS Word you use, but I know this. Go to tools menu and you will see 'autocorrect options'. Click it and under replace, type the word which you want to be automatically replaced ('rayn) and under with, type the word with which you want to replace ('rain'). Then click 'Add'.
