Microsoft Word document lock or something?

Hello everyone one, I just wrote a text with Microsoft Word and I want to share it on the internet. The thing is I don't want it to be edited. Is it possible somehow to lock the document so that no one can edit it?

On the web site? They can't, unless they have your login and password.

After they copy it to their computers? No. The only way to ''protect'' web content is that it's copyrighted.

Convert it to a PDF file using a free pdf utility, then post the pdf on the internet. The utility works just like a printer. For example, with your Word doc open you would go to File / Print Ctrl and select the pdf printer. Save it to your desktop or other folder of your choice. Here's the link to the utility. I use it all the time.
